History: Johanna was born to a poor farmer in Scotland. He made a deal with a rather wealthy man and married Jo to him. He turned out, however, to be a rather cruel man. He beat her on a regular basis, even when he wasn't drunk. And, he had a gambling problem. One night, he'd been drinking a little too much and beat a sinister man in a game of poker. Swaying home with his winnings, he didn't see the man stalking him through the alley ways. He was nearly to his doorstep when the man stepped out behind him and stabbed him several times, robbing him of the money he'd just won. He made it to the door of his home, opened it to a bruised Jo and fell there in a heap. Seeing that he was badly injured and unable to stop her from leaving, she gathered up what little she had and stepped over him. She didn't once look back. She stumbled into Camelot, made a few friends and then journeyed with them to Ireland where she still resides, not caring if her husband had lived or died.
